Skip to the end to see some of my favorite photos from this shoot.

I was asked through a close friend of mine to do a Christmas in July party for a family that had to reschedule their regular Christmas celebrations due to COVID.

They wanted nice photos that the parents wouldn't have to take so that they could focus on the children and the events at hand.

It was so cute! Not only was it a standard Christmas celebration, but the parents set up a small carnival of sorts, complete with a Balloon Pop, Skee-Ball, Magnetic Fishing, a Clothespin Drop, and a Duck Toss. Topped off with prizes the kids could win depending on how well they competed in the games.

After the main events, the event was topped off with a pond party!

Really, it was a great way to celebrate a missed holiday, and it should be a template for all families trying to create a special summer moment.

Oh boy, it was HOT!

Just what you expect from sunny summer day.

It was like a battlefield. The exception being that instead of being part of an army, I was a lone wolf shooting over a dozen people. I had to be quick and position myself to take the shot, working with speed and precision to make sure not a moment was missed! Taking the place of multiple parents and grandparents that were told not to worry about getting photos set my work out for me. This entailed a day of mostly candid shots that had only fleeting moments to capture

Presents, games, action shots, pets, swimming, and family shots.

Some of the most fun I've ever had in a 5-hour time slot.

So let's get to the  sample gallery!

Thank you to the family for letting me capture your special day!
